It would seem that fish in batter is a completely ordinary, everyday dish that is quite simple to prepare. However, this is not quite true. There are many original batter recipes that allow you to turn an ordinary dish into an exquisite dish.
Fish in cheese batter
Cheese batter makes the fish tender, juicy and quite satisfying. To cook fish in such a batter, you will need the following set of products:
- 200 g fish fillets;
- 3 tbsp. mayonnaise;
- 4 eggs;
- 2 tbsp. (with a slide) flour;
- 100 g of hard cheese.
Grate the cheese on a coarse grater. Beat eggs with mayonnaise and combine with cheese. Mix all the ingredients, salt, add flour. Mix everything thoroughly again. Cut the fish fillet into small pieces. Dip each piece in batter and fry until a beautiful golden crust is formed. Place the sautéed fish on a napkin to drain off excess fat. Then transfer to a dish and serve.
Fish in beer batter
- 500 g of fish fillets;
- 100 g flour;
- 1 egg;
- 150 ml of light beer;
- 2 tbsp. vegetable oil.
Sift the flour and gently combine with the egg white. Then add light beer and vegetable oil. The batter should be quite liquid. Cut the fish, dip in batter and fry. The fish will turn out to be very delicate, and the batter will look like it was made of openwork lace.
Fish in potato batter
- 3 medium-sized potato tubers;
- 1 egg;
- 2 tbsp. flour
- salt and pepper to taste.
Grate peeled and washed potatoes on a coarse grater, add flour, egg and salt. Cut the fish fillet, then roll in the potato mixture and fry in vegetable oil.
