Potato roll is a dish that combines simplicity and splendor of taste. It is suitable for both weekdays and holidays. The roll can be used as a main course as well as the main one. Moreover, the filling can be varied.

- - 4 large potatoes
- - 1 egg
- - 2 carrots
- - 250 g of lightly salted herring fillet (optional filling can be different)
- - 1 head of onion
- - 2 tablespoons vegetable or olive oil
- - dill for decoration
- - freshly ground black pepper and salt to taste
Instructions
Step 1
Wash the potatoes and carrots, peel and boil until cooked. When the potatoes are ready, mashed them, add the egg, spices to taste and stir until smooth.
Step 2
Cut the carrots into small cubes. Cut herring fillets into thin strips. Peel the onion and cut into rings.
Step 3
Put mashed potatoes on a sheet of baking paper and brush with vegetable oil. Top with herring fillets, grated carrots and chopped onions.
Step 4
Roll up carefully. Then wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for several hours. Before serving, cut into large pieces and garnish with sprigs of herbs.
