Those who closely follow their figure, but still want to treat themselves to a healthy dessert, will be interested in the recipe for low-calorie oatmeal cookies, which is quite easy to prepare.
Ingredients:
- 240 g low-fat cottage cheese;
- 2 egg whites;
- 1 ripe banana;
- half an unsweetened apple;
- sugar or honey - 1 tablespoon;
- cinnamon - 1 pinch;
- flakes "hercules" - 100 g.
Preparation:
- Mix cottage cheese with sugar or honey (or dilute a couple of sweetener tablets with water and also add to the cottage cheese).
- Thoroughly mash the banana with a fork until it becomes mushy. Grate the apple on a fine grater, mix all the ingredients.
- Break 2 eggs, separate the yolks, we do not need them. Mix the resulting proteins with cottage cheese and bananas.
- Add to the resulting mass a small pinch of cinnamon or any other spice you like. Baking these cookies is a great excuse to experiment! Try adding coconut flakes (a great combination of coconut and banana - true tropical pinacolada!), Ground nuts, poppy seeds, sesame seeds, chocolate chips (dark chocolate only), or a pinch of ground cloves, cardamom, or ginger.
- Weigh 80 g of instant Hercules flakes on an electronic scale. If you have a coffee grinder, you can use it to grind the flakes to a flour condition. Then the texture of the finished cookie will be more delicate. If there is no such device, then it does not matter. You can safely add whole flakes to these cookies - as a result, they will still get soaked in the dough, and they will crunch a little in the cookies.
- Add rolled oats to the rest of the ingredients. Mix well.
- Time to preheat the oven. Put the oven to heat up to 150 degrees.
- We take small portions from the dough with a spoon or with wet hands, in the form of small cakes we spread the future cookies on a baking sheet, which must first be covered with parchment paper or use a silicone mat. You can grease a baking sheet with vegetable oil, this will not add a special calorie content to the dish, and a fried crust will appear on the cookies. Press the cakes a little with our hands, giving them a flat shape.
- We bake the cookies for 15-25 minutes, until golden brown.
- Cookies are good both hot and cold. In addition, it would be nice to take them with you for a snack, so as not to be tempted by more high-calorie ready-made delicacies.
