Today we will make pumpkin bread. To do this, you need to take only a bright orange pumpkin so that our bread turns out to be beautiful and tasty. Such bread can even be consumed in fasting.
Ingredients:
- 500 g flour;
- 165 g pumpkin (peeled);
- 9 g dry yeast;
- 60 g sugar;
- 1/2 tsp kitchen salt;
- 5 g pumpkin seeds;
- 300 ml of water.
Preparation:
- Pour flour on the table, form a slide, make a hole in it and add sugar, salt and yeast.
- Slowly introduce warm water into the recess, gently stirring it with flour. If the dough sticks to your hands, add a little more flour.
- Knead the dough, this must be done quickly enough so that the dough becomes smooth and soft.
- Take a clean container, grease it with a little oil so that the dough does not stick. Put the dough in it and cover with a towel. Leave in warm for 40 minutes for it to come up.
- After the specified time, remove the dough from the bowl and knead it again so that it returns to its previous volume. And again, return it to warmth for 30 minutes.
- Cooking pumpkin filling. Wash the pumpkin, dry with a napkin. Cut and peel off the peel and fibrous pulp, grate the pumpkin on a coarse grater. Next, pour the grated pumpkin into a colander in order to drain the juice we do not need. Rinse pumpkin seeds under running water and dry.
- Let's go back to the dough, put it on the table and roll it into a not very thin cake. Put the pumpkin on it and wrap the dough in a roll.
- Take a tall mold, sprinkle with flour and place the dough in it.
- Peel the pumpkin seeds and sprinkle on top of the bread. Then put our future bread in the heat for 20 minutes.
- Heat the oven to 180 ° C. After the expiry of the above time, put the form with the dough to bake for 40 minutes. When the top is browned, the pumpkin bread is ready.
