Charlotte is a simple and quick pie. But even this dessert can add a touch of variety. Therefore, I suggest you spend a little time and try to cook a charlotte called "Apple in Caramel".
To make charlotte you will need:
- apples - 5-6 fruits of medium size;
- lemon juice - 4 tbsp. l.;
- chicken eggs - 5 pcs.;
- sugar - 200 g;
- vanilla sugar - 30 g;
- cream - 400 ml;
- zest of 1 lemon;
- baking powder - 1 pack;
- flour - 2, 5 glasses.
To make caramel you need:
- 100 g each sugar and butter;
- 4 tbsp. l. milk.
Wash all the apples thoroughly, set aside two for the top layer, and clean the rest, cut out the core and mode in very thin slices. Place the prepared fruit in a separate bowl and fill it with lemon juice.
Now let's start preparing the dough. In a deep bowl, combine regular and vanilla sugar, lemon zest, grated and cream. Stir everything until smooth. Drive eggs into the mixture. Not all at once, but one at a time. We also send there, pre-sifted flour and baking powder. We mix everything thoroughly. When the mass becomes homogeneous, add apples there, stir again.
Now we steal the resulting mass in an even layer into a baking dish. We send the charlotte with apples to the oven preheated to 180 degrees. We check the readiness of the dessert with a wooden toothpick or a match, if the stick is dry, then the cake is ready.
When the charlotte is already on the way and 10 minutes remain until it is fully cooked, then remove the pie from the oven and steal thinly sliced apple slices on top. The core of the fruit can be omitted. But that's up to you. Then we send the dessert to finish cooking.
Now we are preparing caramel, for this we mix butter, milk and sugar in the crust. Cook the mixture over low heat until the consistency is smooth. Pour the finished charlotte with caramel. Dessert "Apple in Caramel" is ready. You can decorate the cake with chocolate chips or nuts. By the way, it is very tasty to serve with melted ice cream balls.
