It is necessary

    • 1 cup milk;
    • 2 eggs;
    • 70 g butter;
    • 2 tbsp Sahara;
    • a pinch of salt;
    • dry yeast bag;
    • 300 g flour;
    • 1 can of canned mackerel;
    • 70 g of rice;
    • 1 onion;
    • vegetable oil;
    • salt and pepper.

Instructions

Step 1

Start by making the dough. In a deep bowl, combine a bag of yeast with warmed milk and rub until no lumps remain. Melt the butter in a saucepan and pour it over the milk. Add sugar and salt, mix again. Then add flour in portions to the dough, stirring thoroughly. The dough should be firm and elastic. After mixing, cover the bowl with a towel and place in a warm place for 2-3 hours. The periodically rising dough will need to be lowered, stirring with a spoon. For the cake to be tasty, it must rise at least three times.

Step 2

Take care of the stuffing. Rinse the rice and boil it in salted water for 15-20 minutes. Drain off excess water, put the rice in a deep bowl. Peel the onion, chop finely and fry in heated vegetable oil until transparent. Place the fried onions over the rice. Open a jar of mackerel. It is best if it is not in oil, but in its own juice. Drain off excess liquid, mash the fish with a fork. Add it to rice and onions, season with salt, pepper and stir.

Step 3

Divide the dough into two equal parts. Roll one of them into a rectangle on a floured cutting board. Place the layer on a greased baking sheet. Place the filling on top in an even layer. Cover with a lid made from the second rolled dough piece. Then punch a hole in the middle of the top of the pie to let the steam out. Brush the dough with whipped yolk. You can leave the cake to stand for a while. Bake it in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 15-20 minutes, until the dough is ready.

Step 4

After cooking, remove the cake from the sheet, place on a flat surface and cover with a towel. Leave it on for 5-10 minutes. The dish can be served both hot and cold.

Step 5

Instead of rice, potatoes can be used to complement the mackerel. Peel a few tubers and boil until half cooked. Cut the potatoes into large cubes, stir in the fish and onions and place the filling in the pie.
