Meatballs are small balls of fish or minced meat cooked in broth. However, sometimes you can deviate a little from the usual methods of preparing this dish and bake it in the oven. In this case, delicious meatballs can be served with a variety of side dishes, including vegetable salad.

It is necessary

  • - 1.5 kg of ground beef;
  • - 400 g ricotta cheese;
  • - 3 eggs;
  • - 3 teaspoons of fennel seeds;
  • - 1 glass of bread crumbs;
  • - 1 tbsp. a spoonful of dry oregano;
  • - a bunch of parsley;
  • - ½ cup olive oil;
  • - salt and black pepper.

Instructions

Step 1

Pour olive oil into the ground beef, put ricotta or other soft cheese, eggs, season with salt and coarse black pepper. Mix everything thoroughly until smooth.

Step 2

Then add bread crumbs, fennel seeds and finely chopped fresh parsley to the meat mass. Season with dried oregano. Mix everything again, while simultaneously beating the mass on the bottom of the dish to make the meatballs more juicy.

Step 3

Shape the minced meat into small balls. To keep them in shape better, periodically wet your hands in cold water.

Step 4

Set the oven to 200C. While it's warming up to the right temperature, brush a baking sheet or any other refractory dish with the leftover olive oil and add the meatballs. Bake them in the oven for about 20 minutes.

Step 5

Serve the finished meatballs immediately. They can be served with mashed potatoes, boiled rice or asparagus, stewed, fresh or grilled vegetables.

Step 6

If the meatballs feel a little dry, you can make a simple sauce for them. To do this, fry a spoonful of flour in butter, add a glass of milk and a little salt. Stir everything well and simmer over low heat for 3 minutes.
