Fried tortillas that are made from a thick dough and therefore thicker than pancakes are called pancakes. These flour products, the recipe of which came to us from antiquity, are now popular in various countries of the world. In America, this delicacy is eaten with sweet maple syrup, in England with apple jam, and in Norway with berry jam. Pancakes are well suited to both everyday and festive tables. You can cook this dish using a simple recipe in a fairly short time.

It is necessary

    • 250 g flour (about 1 glass)
    • 2 eggs
    • 400 ml. milk
    • sugar to taste
    • 8 grams dry yeast
    • a quarter teaspoon of salt
    • deep saucepan
    • plate
    • Bowl
    • pan
    • large wooden spoon
    • scapula
    • butter

Instructions

Step 1

Pour 200 ml of milk into a deep saucepan and warm to room temperature. Pour the dried yeast from an 8-gram sachet into the milk. Stir the resulting dough thoroughly.

Step 2

Place the saucepan in a warm place. Chop 2 eggs into a bowl and whisk them. When the entire surface of the dough is covered with bubbles, add salt, sugar and beaten eggs to the pan. Stir the mixture well.

Step 3

Take a new bowl and add 250 grams of flour to it. While stirring with a whisk, gradually pour the mixture from the pan into the flour.

Step 4

Then, pour the resulting dough from the bowl back into the pot so that the mixture does not spill out of the bowl as it rises. Place the pot of dough in a warm place for about 20 minutes to expand the contents.

Step 5

Pour some vegetable oil into the skillet and place the pan on low heat to warm the bottom well. Place 200 ml of milk in a ladle or bowl and heat without boiling. Pour hot milk into a saucepan with dough and mix thoroughly.

Step 6

Take a large wooden spoon and scoop the dough out of the pot with it. Pour the contents from a spoon into a hot skillet. As the tortilla is browning, pry it open with a spatula and check if the underside is brown enough?

Step 7

When a golden crust forms on the bottom of the pancake, turn the pancake to the other side with a spatula. Wait for the bottom side to be as golden as the top.

Step 8

Pry the prepared pancakes with a spatula and place them in the prepared, clean bowl. Bake in a saucepan.

Step 9

Serve the pancakes with honey, sour cream, or jam.
