Currently, with the help of special equipment available on the market, you can independently prepare a strong alcoholic drink moonshine. The main difficulty in this is to clean the moonshine from the smell and fusel oils at home.

Please note that you can clean the moonshine from the smell and fusel oils at home only after it has been completely cooked, and also cooled down and infused for at least a day. In this case, the product lends itself well to cleaning, diluted with distilled or spring water to 30-35%.
Step 2
You can clean the moonshine at home using potassium permanganate. To do this, add a few crystals to it (about half a teaspoon per three liters) and mix thoroughly. As soon as the moonshine is infused and becomes completely transparent, pour it into a clean container using a hose. In this case, in no case touch the sedimentary layer at the bottom.
Step 3
The next stage of moonshine purification involves the use of activated carbon (one pack for three liters), filter paper and a funnel. Place filter paper on the bottom of the funnel, pour crushed activated carbon on top, covering it with a second layer of paper. To avoid the effect of "floating", lightly press down on the edges of the top napkin.
Step 4
To completely remove odors and fusel oils from the moonshine at home, re-distill it after filtration. The resulting product will already be safe for health, but if you perform tertiary distillation and tertiary purification, you will get a drink with a minimum admixture of fusel oils.
Step 5
Try using charcoal to remove odors and fusel oils from the moonshine. Crush the birch charcoal into small crumbs, add to the moonshine (one handful per three-liter jar) and close the jar tightly. Shake the liquid vigorously every day for a week, then leave it at rest for another 10-12 days.
Step 6
Milk, or, more precisely, the casein protein it contains, will help to clean the moonshine at home. It is a powder that absorbs fusel oils and other undesirable impurities well, which makes it possible to obtain a highly purified product. At home, you can simply add some fresh milk and egg white to the moonshine. Another popular way of cleaning is freezing. If you freeze the moonshine strongly, fusel impurities will freeze to the walls of the container, after which you can simply pour the purified liquid.
