Mahi-mahi is a large tropical fish with dense white flesh. Such fish is often grilled, leaving slightly raw inside so as not to dry it out. According to this recipe, it turns out to be juicy, with an exotic papaya aroma.
It is necessary
- For four servings:
- - 500 g mahi mahi;
- - 1 papaya;
- - 2 tbsp. tablespoons of olive oil;
- - 2 tbsp. spoons of honey;
- - a pinch of chili pepper, salt.

Step 1
Preparation will take you only 5 minutes, the mahi-mahi fish itself is cooked in 10 minutes. Your household will not have to wait long for a delicious dinner. Of course, not every store can buy such an exotic fish, so it can be replaced with any other large white fish.
Step 2
Rinse the fish, cut it into small steaks, dry each piece on a paper towel. Mix honey with a pinch of chili pepper, brush each piece of fish with this mixture, add a little salt.
Step 3
Heat a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil, fry the fish - about 2 minutes on each side. White fish cooks very quickly, do not overdry it, otherwise it will not turn out so tasty.
Step 4
Slice the papaya lengthwise, remove all seeds, cut the flesh into thin slices. Fry the papaya slices next to the fish for a couple of minutes. Close the pan with a lid, turn off the stove, let the fish stand for another 2 minutes. Tropical fish with honey and papaya ready, serve hot. From side dishes, light vegetable salads or boiled asparagus are suitable for such fish.
