Strawberry buns are summer pastries with a rich flavor and aroma, perfect for a light breakfast or picnic. You can also add rhubarb or mint to add flavor to the filling.
Preparation of food
To make strawberry buns you will need:
- 200 ml of warm milk;
- 2.5 cups flour;
- 40 g butter;
- 2 tbsp. l. vegetable oil;
- 3 tbsp. l. granulated sugar;
- 1 egg;
- 1 bag of vanilla sugar;
- 1 tsp dry yeast;
- ¼ h. L. salt.
For filling:
- 300 g strawberries;
- sugar;
- powdered sugar.
Cooking strawberry buns
Pour warm milk into a large bowl and dissolve 1 teaspoon of granulated sugar, 1 teaspoon of yeast, add 2 tablespoons of flour and stir well. Cover the bowl with dough and place in a warm place for 15 minutes.
Melt the butter, pour it into a small container, add granulated sugar and vanilla sugar, salt, vegetable oil and an egg. Rub the ingredients with a fork.
Gradually add half a glass of flour to the dough that has come up, then pour in the mixture of eggs, sugar and butter, add the remaining flour. Knead a soft and smooth dough, cover and leave in a warm place for one hour.
Divide the matched dough into 8-10 equal parts. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C, cover the baking sheet with baking paper.
Roll each piece of dough into a cake. Put some strawberries in the middle, sprinkle the berries with sugar, form closed buns. Put the strawberry buns on a prepared baking sheet, bake in the oven until golden brown. Sprinkle the finished baked goods with icing sugar.
