- turmeric - 1/3 teaspoon;

- water - 480 ml;

- sesame seeds - 1 tbsp. the spoon;

- salt;

- raisins - 3 tbsp. spoons;

- chicken fat - 50 grams.

Rice dishes go well with dried fruits, so not only raisins, but also dried apricots or prunes can participate in the preparation of a side dish for any meat.

You must first rinse and soak the raisins for a while. Rice washed several times must be poured with water and boiled over low heat. When the cereal is half ready, you can add turmeric and salt to the cauldron, mix everything.

The swollen raisins should be transferred to a napkin to allow them to dry, then the chicken fat should be melted in a frying pan and the raisins should be simmered in it for several minutes, then put everything in a cauldron with boiled rice. Be sure to mix everything carefully, distributing the berries more or less evenly and cover with a lid. You can put the cauldron of rice in the oven for 15-20 minutes to finish cooking.

The rice garnish will turn out to be crumbly and will acquire a golden hue thanks to the addition of turmeric. The raisins will give a light touch of fruity aroma. The finished rice garnish should be put on a chicken dish and sprinkled with sesame seeds.

Rice balls

The rice side dish can also be interestingly decorated. You can prepare golden brown and very appetizing balls that are suitable even for a festive side dish with chicken or other meat. To make rice balls, you need the following foods:

- round grain rice - 1 cup;

- raw egg - 3 pieces;

- green dill - 1 bunch;

- salt;

- ground black pepper - 1/5 tsp;

- flour for breading;

- vegetable oil for deep fat - 500 ml.

Rice must be washed several times and then boiled in salted water. Then it should be cooled. Dill greens must be washed, dried and chopped very finely. Put the cooled rice in a bowl, add the dill to it and mix everything until smooth. Separately, beat three raw eggs with a small pinch of salt and ground pepper, pour the whole mass into the rice and stir again.

Roll small balls from the resulting rice mass and roll them in flour. Heat the sunflower oil in a cauldron and put the balls in there, wait until they are slightly browned, remove and put on a napkin. Drain off excess oil and transfer the rice side dish to the chicken platter. You can additionally serve sour cream or onion sauce with such balls.
