Khachapuri is a traditional Georgian dish, which is a stuffed flatbread. For your attention, I propose a recipe for making curd khachapuri with cheese.
It is necessary
- - wheat flour - 1, 5 cups;
- - cottage cheese - 250 g;
- - cheese - 200 g;
- - butter - 150 g;
- - eggs - 3 pcs.;
- - sour cream - 1 tablespoon;
- - soda - a pinch;
- - sugar - 1/4 tablespoon;
- - garlic - 1 clove.
Instructions
Step 1
Turn the butter into a homogeneous mass, that is, melt, then add cottage cheese, soda slaked with a small amount of vinegar or citric acid, and granulated sugar along with a raw chicken egg to it. After adding wheat flour to the same mixture, knead it until a dough with a uniform consistency is obtained.
Step 2
After chopping the cheese with a grater, combine it with one chicken egg, sour cream and peeled, chopped, finely chopped garlic clove beforehand. Knead the formed filling thoroughly so that it becomes smooth. By the way, it is best to use suluguni or feta cheese for making curd khachapuri.
Step 3
Divide the resulting homogeneous dough so that you end up with 8 parts. Roll out each of these parts in a circle. For one khachapuri, you will need 2 such cakes, that is, as a result, you will get 4 curd khachapuri with cheese.
Step 4
Taking the rolled layer, place on it and evenly distribute the cheese filling over the entire surface. Cover this mass on top with a second cake and gently tuck its edges under the first - this way you will fix them together. Thus, make the rest of the khachapuri.
Step 5
Lubricate the surface of the cheese-filled curd cakes with a lightly beaten egg and make a few punctures on each with a fork. This is necessary so that the khachapuri does not swell and burst during the cooking process.
Step 6
After sending the dish to the oven, bake it at 200 degrees for three quarters of an hour, that is, for 45 minutes. Curd khachapuri with cheese are ready!
