It is necessary

  • For four servings:
  • - 500 g zucchini;
  • - 200 g of grated cheese;
  • - 4 slices of white bread;
  • - 1 large onion;
  • - 2 tbsp. tablespoons of butter;
  • - 1 egg;
  • - 1 teaspoon of garlic seasoning;
  • - pepper, salt.

Instructions

Step 1

Cut fresh zucchini into cubes. Do not peel if you are using young zucchini, but if the peel is tough, you must first cut it off. Cut the white bread slices into cubes too.

Step 2

In a deep bowl, combine chopped zucchini, slices of bread, pour with melted butter, add garlic seasoning. Peel the onion, cut into thin half rings, send to the squash mass, send a slightly beaten raw egg there. Pepper, salt to taste, mix thoroughly the preparation for the future casserole.

Step 3

Put the resulting mixture in a baking dish. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Grate 200 g of hard cheese on a coarse grater, sprinkle generously on the top of the casserole, send the form to the oven.

Step 4

Bake the casserole, covered with foil or a lid, for about 30 minutes. After that, remove the lid or remove the foil, cook for another half hour. A very appetizing golden brown crust is formed. So the zucchini casserole with cheese is ready, it is best to serve it warm, but even when cooled down, it does not lose its taste.
