Gongbao is a spicy chicken with nuts, a recipe from the national Chinese cuisine. However, due to the lack of some ingredients on store shelves, the recipe has been slightly changed, which certainly does not spoil it! But you still have to look for one rare ingredient, this is hot Sichuan pepper, if you replace it with the usual one, the taste will change slightly.

1. Marinating chicken.

You will need:

  • 0.5 kg chicken fillet,
  • protein of 1 egg,
  • 1 tsp Sahara,
  • 1/3 tsp glutamate,
  • 2 tbsp. l. starch (preferably corn),
  • a pinch of salt.

First of all, you need to finely chop the chicken, beat the protein a little and add the rest of the ingredients to it. Pour the chicken fillet cubes with this sauce, let it marinate for about half an hour.

2. Making sauce.

You will need:

  • 3 tbsp. l. sugar and soy sauce,
  • some salt
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar,
  • 1/3 tsp glutamate.
  • 1 tsp sesame oil,
  • water + starch 1 tablespoon each (connect).

First, make starch water (mix a tablespoon of water and starch), while set aside and combine the rest of the ingredients in another bowl, mix them well. Now you can add the starch water.

3. Cooking process.

You will need:

  • 40 gr. peeled peanuts,
  • 1 dry chili pepper (for spicy lovers, you can take 4 pieces),
  • some green onions,
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • some ginger (1 cm piece),
  • 1 tbsp Sichuan pepper.

Pour vegetable oil almost a centimeter into a preheated pan, heat it well and fry the nuts, it is better to look after the peanuts so that they do not burn out, a light ruddy is enough.

Now you need to get the peanuts and immediately send the chicken to roast.

While the fillet is fried, you need to chop the chili peppers and onions with garlic.

When a crispy crust appears on the fillet pieces, take it out and fry the chopped vegetables a little with the addition of grated ginger and Sichuan pepper.

Now you can combine all the ingredients, pour over the sauce and wait until it evaporates, while stirring constantly, it will take a couple of minutes.

You can serve the Chinese classic dish, which appeared in the Sichuan province, with rice and vegetables. This chicken cooking option is great for those who like spicy food, the fillet turns out to be juicy and soft, and the peanuts remain crispy. Having tasted the dish once, it will be impossible to stop, despite the sharpness of sensations.
