Sweets with sweet almonds and cherries inside are an ideal choice for a cup of tea or coffee. You can use a variety of candied fruits or nuts instead of cherries for the filling.

- - 30-40 ml of cognac (Amaretto liqueur);
- - dried cherries (candied) by the number of sweets;

Instructions
Step 1
Pour boiling water over the almonds for 10 minutes, then drain and pour over the almonds with cold water. Drain the water again and, after peeling the husks, pat dry on a towel.
Step 2
Grind the dried almonds into the smallest crumb in a coffee grinder. Combine chopped almonds with sifted powdered sugar, lemon juice, liqueur and mix thoroughly until smooth. Knead the mass well with your hands until it becomes like plasticine, smooth and elastic.
Step 3
If necessary, dust the hands and table with powdered sugar. If the marzipan mass sticks to your hands or crumbles, add powdered sugar or liqueur, respectively. Shape the finished marzipan into a ball, wrap in plastic and place in the refrigerator overnight.
Step 4
For the filling, soak the cherries in cognac and also leave overnight. When using dried cherries, it is best to add some boiling water to soften the cherries. The next day, after removing the cherries from the cognac, fold them onto a sieve and let the liquid drain. Dry the cherries on a paper towel.
Step 5
Prepare a bowl with a little vegetable oil, line the tray with parchment, brush it with a thin layer of vegetable oil. After moistening the table and hands with a little oil, divide the almond mass into 2 parts. Roll a "sausage" from each part and cut into pieces.
Step 6
Form each piece into a ball by flattening it into a cake. Place the cherry in the center and gently pinch the edges with the marzipan mass, rolling up a ball. Place the candies on parchment paper and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Step 7
Melt the chocolate in a water bath. When stringing sweets on toothpicks, dip in chocolate. Then insert the candy-filled toothpicks into the apple and refrigerate for 1 hour to freeze the chocolate. Then carefully remove the toothpicks, store the sweets in the refrigerator.
