You can always buy a pack of egg noodles at the grocery store, but making them yourself makes them more satisfying and tastier. Homemade egg noodles are easy to make and perfect for casseroles, beef stroganoffs, chicken soup, and more.
It is necessary
- 2 cups of flour
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp salt
- Water
Instructions
Step 1
Sift the flour into a bowl and make a depression in the center. Add the egg, egg yolks, salt to the well and toss with your hands.
Step 2
Add a little water to the mixture, stirring with your hands. Shape the dough into a ball.
Cover the dough with a damp towel and let sit for 10 minutes. Then divide the dough into quarters.
Step 3
On a floured surface, use a rolling pin to roll each piece of dough into a thin layer 1-2mm thick. The thinner, the softer the noodles will turn out, but don't overdo it. Then cut the dough into strips using a knife (or curly pizza knife).
Step 4
Place the noodles on a clean, dry towel and let dry for 30 minutes. Cook the noodles in salted water for about 15 minutes.
