1. Basil
You can plant basil in pots all year round. Any variety is suitable for growing on a windowsill. Choose a sunny location with at least 3-4 hours of sunlight a day. Good drainage and regular watering will ensure a good harvest.
2. Mint
Can be grown in an ordinary flower pot, in which the earth will be made of humus or peat. The seeds are planted to a depth of 5 mm. They expect to germinate for about 2-3 weeks. There are two factors to consider when caring for mint: moisture and light. It is badly affected by direct sunlight and overdried soil.
3. Melissa
This is a perennial plant that is planted in fertile soil to a depth of 0.5-1 cm. Melissa does not tolerate extreme heat and cold. It is a moisture-loving plant, therefore good drainage is needed so that there is no stagnation of water. The grown branches must be cut off, then the lemon balm bush will be more lush.
4. Rosemary
Grows well in flower pots. They plant it in calcareous soil and constantly loosen it. The plant is light-loving and thermophilic, does not tolerate drafts and sudden changes in temperature. Has a wonderful aroma.
5. Sage
A spicy herb that can also be grown on a windowsill. The main thing is to provide the plant with moderate watering and light, avoiding direct sunlight. Once every month and a half, it is advisable to cut the stems to form a bush with lush foliage.
