Step 1
Before you start making donuts, you need to melt the butter mixed with honey in a water bath. If you don't have butter, you can substitute it with margarine.

Mix the eggs with ingredients such as granulated sugar and salt and beat well. Gradually add the melted creamy honey mass to the resulting sugar-egg mixture. Then put the grated zest from one lemon there. Mix everything thoroughly until smooth.

Mix the wheat flour with an ingredient such as baking powder. Pass the resulting dry mixture through a sieve, preferably several times, then gradually pour it to the main homogeneous mass. As a result, you should have a dough that is very soft to the touch and sticks slightly to your palms. Add more flour to the dough if necessary.
Step 4
Divide the finished dough into several parts, roll it in the shape of rollers and cut into small pieces. Then form a ball out of each. The diameter of these figures should be 2 centimeters.
Step 5
Pour the deep-fat oil into a deep bowl, heat it up, then fry the balls rolled out of dough in it in several stages.
Step 6
When the balls of dough turn golden, remove them from the dish and place them on a paper towel. Honey donuts are ready! Garnish with powdered sugar before serving.
