    Step 1

    When preparing porridge for a very young child, use cereal flour. To do this, wash the usual cereals, sort and grind in a thoroughly washed coffee grinder or crush in a mortar.

    You can also boil porridge from cereals, but first boil it in water or vegetable broth. Before this, the cereal must also be sorted out and rinsed well.

    Step 3

    Take the required amount of cereal flour and water. If you are just starting to introduce porridge into your child's diet, take 1 teaspoon of chopped cereal and 100 milliliters of cold water. Use a measuring container. If you don't have one, an ordinary faceted glass will help you - its volume up to the rim is 200 milliliters, which means you need ½ glass of water. Mix everything thoroughly and put on low heat. Cook until tender, stirring constantly.

    After a few days, boil the porridge in milk. Boil the milk and pour the cooked cereal into it. Cook the porridge for 5-7 minutes over medium heat, stirring constantly. Then rub the porridge through a sieve, put it back on the fire and bring to a boil. The finished porridge should be slightly thicker than breast milk. Do not add salt, sugar and oil to the porridge.

    After 2 weeks of feeding the baby a thin porridge, start cooking it thicker. To do this, take 2 teaspoons of cereal flour per 100 milliliters of milk. Rub the prepared porridge through a sieve and add a little butter.

    Spoon your baby with porridge. At the beginning of complementary foods, give 1 teaspoon, gradually increasing the dose. After breastfeeding, latch your baby to your breast. Gradually, porridge should replace one of the feedings, but in any case, be sure to give the baby a drink after eating.

    Try to cook cereals every day from different cereals. Do not feed your baby too much rice porridge, as it can cause constipation.
