The task of combining pleasantness with usefulness, taste with a low calorie content, satiety is easily set before itself by any person who cares about their health and a slender figure. Prepare wheat germ dishes for lunch and you will solve this problem in no time.
Diet sprouted wheat soup
Ingredients:
- 100 g of wheat germ;
- 1.5 liters of water;
- 1 onion;
- 3 potatoes;
- 1 carrot;
- 1 bay leaf;
- 1/2 tsp ground coriander and dried ginger;
- 1/4 tsp. cardamom and nutmeg;
- salt;
- vegetable oil.
Pour water into a saucepan, dip the peeled onion into it and put on high heat. Boil everything and cook for 10-15 minutes at medium temperature. Peel the potatoes and cut into cubes or wedges along with the carrots. Fry the spices in vegetable oil, add the vegetables and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Introduce the frying into the broth and cook for 5-7 minutes.
Transfer the dishes to the rack, remove and discard the onions. Place the sprouted wheat and bay leaves in the soup, season with salt and cover. Leave it to infuse for 15-20 minutes.
Wheat Sprouted Veggie Cutlets
Ingredients:
- 200 g of wheat germ;
- 1 small onion;
- 2 cloves of garlic;
- 1/2 tsp seasonings for vegetable dishes;
- salt;
- vegetable oil.
Remove the husks from the onion and garlic cloves and roll with the wheat germ in a meat grinder or chop in a food processor. Season the resulting mass with spices and salt and mix well to distribute the ingredients evenly. Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan, put the "minced meat" in it with a tablespoon and press lightly, giving a flattened oval shape to the cutlets. Toast them quickly on each side over high heat, then reduce to low and bring the dish to readiness in 5 minutes. Serve it with fresh salad, boiled potatoes, or just sour cream.
Sprouted wheat in Korean salad
Ingredients:
- 300 g of wheat germ;
- 1 clove of garlic;
- 100 ml of sesame oil;
- 50 ml of table vinegar and soy sauce;
- 1 tsp each sugar and ground coriander;
- 1/2 tsp salt + for cooking wheat germ;
- 1/4 tsp chili powder.
Boil sprouted wheat in salted water, discard in a colander and let the liquid drain completely into the sink. Transfer the sprouts to a salad bowl, mix with crushed garlic, sugar, salt and chili powder. Heat sesame oil in a saucepan until a haze appears above the surface, add coriander there. Pour boiling oil over the salad, being careful not to burn your face. Stir it in quickly, add vinegar and soy sauce.
