  • 500 ml of kefir (any fermented milk product can be used);
  • 1 chicken egg;

  • 1/3 tsp salt;
  • 2, 5 cups of wheat flour (about 160 g of flour fits into a faceted glass);
  • ½ tsp soda;
  • Vegetable oil for frying, to cook fluffy kefir pancakes.

Step 1

In order for the kefir pancakes to turn out lush and beautiful, it is important to knead the dough correctly, to observe a certain ritual. The first thing it is recommended to do is to get the kefir out of the refrigerator in advance. To prepare a successful dough, you need the fermented milk product to be at room temperature.

Step 2

Pour kefir into a deep plate, break an egg into it, add salt and sugar. Stir the ingredients. This can be done manually or with a mixer.

Sift flour and add to the thicket, add baking soda on top. In many recipes, soda is added to kefir, but this is not necessary if you want to make fluffy pancakes.

When all the ingredients are in the bowl, carefully place the dough, making sure that there are no lumps of flour left. It is important to do everything efficiently at this stage, since you cannot mix the dough in the future.
