Baked quince Rinse the quince, wipe with light pressure to remove the tough fibers on its peel, pat dry. Cut each fruit in half and remove the seed pods.

Step 2

Take a non-stick skillet and place the quince halves in the skillet, cut side up. Sprinkle each half with a tablespoon of sugar, pour about one centimeter of water into the pan.

Cover the pan with foil quite tightly, preheat the oven to 150 ° C and bake the quince for about one to two hours until tender (the quince should be soft). Open the oven every twenty to thirty minutes, look into the pan and add water as needed. Remove from oven and chill, serve with whipped cream.

Quince stuffed with nuts with honey Boil 150 grams of walnuts with boiling water, peel, if possible, from a thin brown skin, dry. Put in a mortar and chop with a pestle, you can use a blender (but be careful not to turn the nuts into flour) or finely chop them with a knife. Pour about two hundred grams of honey into a bowl, add the nuts to the honey and mix thoroughly.

Wash the quince, wipe it thoroughly with a towel so that the skin of all the fruits gets rid of tough villi and becomes smooth, dry. Cut the fruit into two halves, remove seeds and partitions. Put a piece (about five grams) of butter and about one tablespoon of the filling in each quince half.

Pour one glass of cold water onto a baking sheet, place the quince stuffed with honey and walnuts, slices up on the baking sheet. Preheat the oven to 150-180C, place the baking sheet in the oven and cook for about thirty to fifty minutes, until the quince is tender. Remove from oven and sprinkle with powdered sugar, serve hot or cold.
