It is necessary

  • • 3, 5 glasses of wheat flour;
  • • 3 tablespoons of sour cream;
  • • 70 g butter (can be replaced with margarine);
  • • 2 teaspoons of bee honey;
  • • 130 ml of water;
  • • salt;
  • • 1 teaspoon baking powder (you can use baking soda);
  • • 250 g of cow's milk;
  • • 1 full glass of granulated sugar;
  • • 100 g of nuts;
  • • 700 g of sunflower oil (odorless).

Instructions

Step 1

You will need a deep bowl to make the dough. You need to pour cow's milk into it. The butter must be melted to a liquid state in a water bath, or a very slow fire must be used for this. Then pour the butter into the milk and mix everything thoroughly.

Step 2

Pour sour cream into the resulting mixture and add quite a bit of salt. Again, everything is thoroughly mixed. Pour the required amount of baking powder into the flour, and then sift it using a sieve. If you use soda instead of baking powder, then it must be mixed with sour cream.

Step 3

Pour the flour into the milk mixture and knead the dough. It should eventually turn out to be quite elastic and tight. Roll the dough into a ball and place in a plastic bag. So it should lie for a quarter of an hour (15 minutes).

Step 4

Then cut the dough into several small pieces. Each of the parts must be rolled out into a thin layer (try to keep it as thin as possible). Let the rolled dough lie down for a bit, weathered so that it does not stick together when twisted.

Step 5

Each layer needs to be wrapped in a roll, a rolling pin can help you with this. The free edge of the dough must be pinched slightly, and the rolling pin must be removed. Then with a sharp knife, the roll needs to be cut into pieces. Cut at an angle, the width of the pieces should be approximately 20 millimeters.

Step 6

Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the baklava in it. A beautiful ruddy crust should form on its surface.

Step 7

Pour sugar into the water and add honey, boil everything. In the resulting syrup, you need to lower the finished baklava, and then put it on a dish. To top it off, sprinkle with chopped nuts.
