This dish has a very interesting old history. It made a splash in New York in 1867 at a gala reception on the occasion of the signing of the treaty on the transfer of Alaska to America. The chef impressed the audience with a dessert, which was a hot meringue pie, in the middle of which there was cold ice cream! Then this dessert was called: "Alaska". In the Soviet Union, for example, in 1983 in the Rabotnitsa magazine, a recipe for a similar dessert called Ice Cream Surprise appeared. But whatever the name of this dish, it is always super-original, spectacular and incredibly tasty!

Instructions
Step 1
Preparing ice cream
Beat the ice cream lightly with a mixer until it becomes plastic. Add chopped fruits or berries and mix well. Pick up a round glass or plastic container that is roughly the diameter of a baking dish. Put ice cream in this container, tamping well. Put in the freezer for a few hours.
Step 2
Preparing the biscuit
Beat the yolks with sugar and vanilla sugar with a mixer until they are completely dissolved. Without stopping whisking, add flour. The dough should be smooth without lumps. The consistency is like a pancake. Grease a baking dish with butter, pour the dough into it and bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees. Baking time - 20, 25 minutes, crust color - light brown. While the biscuit is baking, prepare the impregnation: dissolve the sugar in hot water, pour in the liquor and stir. Chop the finished biscuit in several places with a fork, fill with impregnation. Refrigerate.
Step 3
Preparing the meringue
Beat the whites until firm. For better whipping, you can add a pinch of salt. Add sugar, continue whisking until it is completely dissolved.
Step 4
Making dessert
Remove the ice cream from the freezer. To easily remove it from the container, immerse it for a few seconds in a larger dish with hot water. Put the ice cream on the sponge cake with the "dome" upwards. Put the whipped proteins on top of the ice cream - you can arbitrarily with a spoon, or you can figuratively, using a pastry bag. All ice cream should be well covered with whipped egg whites. Put the dish with dessert in a very hot oven (230 degrees) for 5-7 minutes, no more. Serve immediately!
