A traditional Japanese dish, sushi, is small pieces of fish with rice and seafood. A very interesting idea is to cook sushi in the form of a pie, because as they say here in Russia, “the mouth is happy with a large piece”.

It is necessary

  • - 220 g of smoked salmon fillet;
  • - 500 g of rice;
  • - 2 sheets of nori;
  • - mayonnaise;
  • - green onions;
  • - lemon;
  • - soy sauce.

Instructions

Step 1

Take a 22 cm round springform baking dish. Cover the bottom and sides with cling film.

Step 2

Boil special sushi rice until cooked and cool. Cut the smoked salmon fillet into thin slices and place them on the bottom of the dish. Spread half the sushi rice evenly on top of the salmon. Press it down with your fingers.

Step 3

The next layer is nori sheets. Spread the remaining rice over it. Tamp the mass with your fingers. Then cover everything with cling film and put oppression. Refrigerate for 1 hour.

Step 4

Remove the oppression and the film. Turn the sushi pie over gently and remove the pan. Use a very sharp knife to cut the food into portions. To keep them even, rinse and dry the knife after each cut.

Step 5

Pour mayonnaise over the pie. Serve with green onions, lemon slices and soy sauce.
