Step 1

Take a whole chicken and prepare it for consumption. If it has feathers, it should be plucked and singed. A whole chicken should be removed from the entrails by making an incision from the side of the bird's belly.

Prepare the marinade. To do this, mix vegetable oil and lemon juice, add finely chopped garlic, salt and spices to taste - cumin, coriander, rosemary. Cover the inside and outside of the chicken with this mixture and let sit for about an hour.

Prepare your microwave. Select the appropriate cooking mode. This can be a combination of grilling and microwaves, or just a grill. Depending on this, select the cooking utensils. If you don't use microwaves, you can grill the chicken on the skewer or on the metal wire rack that should have come with your oven. When switching on the microwave mode, you should use non-metallic dishes that are resistant to heat, for example, special glass dishes for the microwave oven.

Step 4

Place the chicken in the oven with a preset cooking time based on the weight of the chicken. If the meat will not be cooked on a spit, stop the program approximately in the middle of cooking and turn the chicken over for even roasting. In case you are not using microwaves, you should wrap the ends of chicken legs and wings in foil to prevent them from drying out.

Step 5

For a more golden brown finish, cook the chicken for a few minutes, then remove from the oven and brush with a mixture of mustard and honey. This, moreover, will give the dish additional flavoring nuances.

Step 6

Check the readiness of the chicken with a fork. If, when piercing the skin, clear juice flows out - the meat is ready. Serve the chicken with a side dish such as mashed potatoes, boiled rice, or fresh vegetables.
