Step 1

Place the beans in a large saucepan and cover with plenty of water. Leave in this form for 10 hours. This will soften them and be ready for further processing. You can also soak for a longer period, then the beans will be much softer. Try to change the water more often, at least every five hours. This is necessary to remove the resulting gases.

Step 2

If there is no time for soaking at all, put the beans in a saucepan, fill with water so that there are 10 centimeters of water above the grains. Bring water to a low boil and remove. Close the lid and keep it that way for one hour.

Move on to the boiling process for the beans. Bring water in a pot of beans to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Drain and rinse the beans. Pour in fresh water and bring to a boil again. Put on a low heat and simmer for an hour or two. This completes the cooking.
