Toasts are toasted pieces of bread, not the most popular dish in Russia, unlike America and some European countries. In fact, this is a rather pleasant and very easy to prepare snack that can be made for breakfast on a simple weekday and to complement the holiday table.
Simple loaf toast
It couldn't be easier. It is necessary to cut any loaf (sliced, French) into slices about a centimeter thick and fry them in a pan in vegetable oil. You can also brown it in a dry frying pan, then after that you need to put a little butter on each piece - it will melt and make the taste of the toast more pleasant.
Rye bread toast
The cooking principle is the same - cut into chunks, fry with or without oil. The taste is different (for some, perhaps for the worse), but for amateurs it will do just fine. In addition, this option is better for those who follow the figure - rye bread is less high in calories, and if you exclude oil, then the dish turns out to be quite dietary.
Garlic bread
You can fry slices of bread in oil, in which the garlic cloves were heated before, this will give a spicy aroma and a light garlic flavor. For a richer flavor palette, the garlic can be minced and left in the pan while the bread is toasted. The main thing is just not to overexpose it on fire, so that there are no burnt particles.
Egg toast
Egg fried bread is more popular in our homeland than the other options offered here. Cooking it is also not at all difficult. It is necessary to beat a couple of eggs, add salt and your favorite seasonings, and, dipping slices of bread into the resulting mixture, fry it. You can add a little milk or cream to the beaten eggs - this will make the taste softer and the bread softer.
Toast with Cooking Pasta
Ready-made simple toasts can be spread with something tasty, and the options for this "something" are limited only by your imagination and financial capabilities. Here are just a few of the possible spreading pastes:
- processed cheese with herbs (basil, dill, parsley)
- cottage cheese with mayonnaise and garlic
- sour cream with grated cheese
- chocolate paste
- whipped cream with fruit pieces
Any paste should be spread on toast directly or shortly (20 minutes) before use. Otherwise, the bread will become saturated with liquid and soggy. Beautifully decorated slices of toasted bread with mouth-watering pasta can be a worthy addition to the festive table, while spending a minimum of effort.
