Lentil dishes are always distinguished by excellent taste and nutritional value. But it is red lentils that are more satisfying, tender, tasty, and easy to cook.
It is necessary
- - 260 g of red lentils;
- - 180 g onions;
- - 1 carrot;
- - 140 g of stalk celery;
- - 270 g of tomatoes in their own juice;
- - salt, pepper to taste;
- - 50 ml of vegetable oil.
Instructions
Step 1
Onions, carrots and celery must be washed, peeled and cut into thin slices. Then fry all vegetables in a pan with vegetable oil until tender.
Step 2
Rinse the lentils thoroughly and cook for about 20 minutes.
Step 3
Wash the tomatoes and put them in boiling water for 1 minute, then remove the skin from them and add to the fried vegetables. Stir everything together with salt and pepper.
Step 4
Drain the water from the pan with lentils, transfer it to the pan with the vegetables, simmer for 10 minutes.
Step 5
Serve this dish as a side dish or separately.
