Step 1
First, the dough for milk cakes is prepared: in hot milk, you need to completely dissolve the sugar with constant stirring (the milk should not boil, and the sugar should not boil).

Then the milk is cooled to room temperature, soft butter, one egg, salt are added to it. Everything is whipped with a whisk until smooth.

Add flour to the resulting mass and knead the dough well, it should not stick to your hands.

The dough is placed in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes.

After that, a part is separated from the cooled dough and rolled into a layer about 1 centimeter thick, then cakes with a diameter of 8-10 centimeters are cut out.

These biscuits are laid out on a baking sheet covered with baking paper, and, if desired, we make a drawing on top for beauty.

It can be some kind of drawing or just small notches with a knife.

The top of the milk cakes should be greased with a raw egg and baked in an oven preheated to 190 C for about 20-25 minutes, until golden brown and cooked.
