Oat oatmeal is not only useful, but also a very “convenient” product. The dough does not require boiling, so it will take only about a quarter of an hour to make delicious homemade sweets or a potato-type cake.

It is necessary

  • milk or drinking cream - 1 glass,
  • sugar - 1/2 -1 glass,
  • oatmeal - 2/3 cup,
  • cocoa powder - 2 tablespoons,
  • butter - 50 grams,
  • cocoa powder, nuts, or coconut for sprinkling.

Instructions

Step 1

To prepare the bearberry "dough", mix the sugar and cocoa powder in a small thick-walled saucepan, then slowly, stirring constantly, pour in the warmed milk or cream. Bring to a boil over low heat. The sugar should be completely dissolved.

Step 2

Add the butter to the hot milk and wait for it to "dissipate", then remove the pan from the heat.

Step 3

Stir in the oatmeal, stirring constantly to prevent clumping. The result is a chocolate dough that will appear runny at first. But as the oatmeal swells, it thickens, turning into a dense and plastic mass. Let the dough cool for a few minutes. There is no need to wait for complete cooling - it is best to sculpt sweets or cakes from a warm mixture.

Step 4

Use your hands to form the dough into small balls or cones to make oatmeal candies. You can put a filling of nuts, candied fruits or dried fruits inside the sweets. Dip the candies in cocoa powder (you can mix it with powdered sugar), coconut or chopped nuts, then put on a dish and place in the refrigerator to cool.

Step 5

For potato cakes, mold the oatmeal dough into small oval cakes and roll them in the cocoa powder and powdered sugar mixture. You can garnish cakes with butter cream, whipped cream, nuts, or small pieces of chocolate. Place the finished "potatoes" in the refrigerator for an hour and a half. Cakes without flour and without baking are ready!

The taste of sweets and oatmeal cakes can be varied by adding vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger. If the dessert is intended for adults, you can flavor the dough by pouring a couple of tablespoons of rum, cognac or other aromatic alcohol into it.
