Ingredients for the dough:

  • 0.5 kg flour;
  • 60 g powdered sugar;
  • 150 g butter;
  • 120 ml of milk;
  • 120 g lard;;
  • 2 eggs;
  • 1 tsp dry yeast;
  • 2 pinches of salt.

Ingredients for the filling:

  • 500 g of walnuts;
  • 250 g sugar;
  • 125 g of milk;
  • 80 g of honey;
  • ½ lemon;
  • 5 g vanillin.

Preparation:

  1. Sift flour into a bowl, mix with powdered sugar. Then make a small hole in the middle and pour milk into it.
  2. Split the egg, carefully pouring from one shell to another, separate the yolk from the white. Add the yolk to the flour. And also add yeast, lard, salt and soft butter.
  3. Knead the dough, wrap it in plexus and send it to the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  4. Pour milk into a refractory container, add honey and sugar. Put the container on a small fire and heat it up. Pour walnuts with this milk. Also add vanillin to the nuts and knead the filling.
  5. After an hour, take the dough out of the refrigerator, divide it into two parts. Heat the oven to 200 ° C.
  6. Put cling film on the table (about 0.6 m long). Roll out the dough on the foil to form a rectangle.
  7. Spread the nut mass along the entire perimeter of the dough layer, leaving the edges not smeared.
  8. Wrap the free edges. Using cling film, wrap the filled dough with a roll. Carry out the same manipulations with the second portion of the test.
  9. Grease a baking sheet with lard, put the rolls on it on different sides, stretching it.
  10. Divide the remaining egg into yolk and white. First grease the rolls with yolk, and then with protein. Along the rolls, make holes with a skewer.
  11. Bake for 15 minutes at 200 ° C, then bake at 180 ° C for another 15 minutes. Remove the rolls from the oven. When cool, divide into portions.
