Chips are not considered the most useful product. But if you feel like crunching potato slices, cook them at home. Handmade, they will be less greasy and will cost you much less.

Step 1
To cook the chips in the oven, wash and peel the potatoes. Use a serrated knife, slicer, or cheese grater to cut the tubers into thin slices. Place them in a bowl and add a few teaspoons of vegetable oil. It should grease the slices well, but not accumulate at the bottom of the bowl.
Step 2
Place a piece of foil on a baking sheet and spray with nonstick cooking spray. Put the potatoes on a baking sheet in one layer. Heat the oven to 200 degrees and place the baking sheet inside for 20 minutes. The cooking time will depend on the thickness of the potato slices, so you should periodically check the readiness of the chips. As soon as the edges of the slices begin to curl, remove the baking sheet. Let the chips cool slightly. Season with salt or spices to your liking.
Step 3
Fry the chips in oil. To do this, peel the required amount of potatoes and grate them on a cheese grater or cut into slices 2 to 4 millimeters thick using a knife. Heat a deep cauldron or any heavy-bottomed pan over high heat. Transfer one layer of potatoes to a cauldron and cover completely with vegetable oil. Fry until golden brown, place on a plate and cook all slices in the same way. Sprinkle warm chips with your favorite spices.
Step 4
To cook chips in the microwave, peel and cut the potatoes into thin slices. Cut a circle out of parchment or cooking paper equal to the size of the platter in the oven. Place potatoes on it and brush with a thin layer of vegetable oil using a silicone brush. Place the dish in the microwave and cook the chips on highest power for about 5 minutes. Season the slightly cooled chips with salt or sprinkle with suitable spices.
