Potato lovers can prepare a very simple, quick and incredibly tasty dish with a crispy cheese crust. It can be a staple treat, a side dish with meat dishes, or a hearty party snack.
It is necessary
- Ingredients for 4 persons:
- - 360 ml of heavy cream;
- - 2 cloves of garlic;
- - a sprig of thyme or rosemary;
- - a pinch of ground nutmeg;
- - 900 g of potatoes;
- - salt and pepper to taste;
- - 150 g of grated Parmesan and a little more for sprinkling.
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 190 ° C. Lubricate a form with a thick bottom and walls with a small amount of oil. Squeeze the garlic, cut the peeled potatoes into thin slices.
Step 2
In a saucepan over medium heat, heat the cream along with the garlic, thyme and nutmeg, but do not let them boil.
Step 3
Put the potatoes in a form in layers in a circle, salt and pepper each layer, pour cream and sprinkle with Parmesan. In a mold with a diameter of about 30 cm, 3 layers should be obtained.
Step 4
We send the mold to the oven for 35-40 minutes, then sprinkle the potatoes with a little more cheese and return to the oven for another 10-15 minutes.
